In a deeply unfortunate incident on July 6, 2023, Korean pop singer Lee Sang-eun was discovered deceased just before her scheduled performance. 

Sang-eun was expected to take the stage at the 33rd Regular Concert of the Gimcheon Municipal Choir. 

However, she was found unresponsive in the washroom after being reported missing from backstage.

Despite immediate medical attention, Sang-eun was declared deceased by the attending doctors. 

This marks the third sudden death of a singer within three months, leaving the industry deeply shaken.

It is a stark reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and the need for support systems for individuals struggling with depression or other mental health challenges.
