Only one Florida street, East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, and one city made the annual list of the “Top 100 Cleanest Streets in America.”
To find out which American towns and localities have the cleanest streets, Waste Removal USA polled 3000 tourists. The purpose of the survey was to identify cities and towns that are exhibiting excellent performance and to raise awareness of the significance of maintaining clean streets.
The Only Florida City on the National List Is Fort Lauderdale
Travelers were asked to score how clean the streets were in a variety of American cities and villages. The only road in Florida to be included on the list is East Las Olas Boulevard, which stands apart from the others.
This acknowledgment is a monument to Fort Lauderdale’s efforts to keep its citizens and guests in a tidy and lovely environment. “America’s towns and cities vary widely in character, culture, and charm,” the survey states, “but their commitment to cleanliness is one common thread among the top 100 towns with the most pristine streets.”
One of the Cleanest Streets in the United States is Las Olas Boulevard.
Running 2.5 miles from the Central Business District to A1A at Fort Lauderdale Beach, Las Olas Boulevard is a significant east-west pedestrian-friendly route in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The Spanish translation of “Las Olas” is “The Waves.”
With its top-notch hotels, outstanding office space, posh boutiques and shops, and dozens of bistros, bars, and restaurants—the majority of which provide both indoor and outdoor dining—The Boulevard is a “must-visit destination.”
The center median, which is surrounded with trees, comes alive at night with lights, adding to the enchanting atmosphere and attraction of Las Olas Boulevard, which is Fort Lauderdale’s top destination for dining, shopping, business, and hospitality.
“We are thrilled to see East Las Olas Boulevard being recognized as one of the top cleanest streets in the US,” said Mike Weymouth, President of The Las Olas Company and fourth generation member of this family-run business. This demonstrates our dedication to building a lovely, sustainable city that everyone can enjoy.
The Las Olas Company has played a significant role in the history, culture, and economic prosperity of the Boulevard for more than 80 years. It is a privilege for us to be listed in this esteemed poll. There is nothing ordinary about Las Olas Boulevard. It is the hub of Fort Lauderdale’s dining, shopping, hotel, and entertainment industries. Businesspeople, retailers, restaurateurs, locals, and visitors are all encouraged to experience the Las Olas way of life there, according to Weymouth.
With over 200 workers, The Las Olas Company is one of Fort Lauderdale’s top providers of hospitality and commercial real estate. The corporation is deeply ingrained in the history, culture, and economic prosperity of Fort Lauderdale. Apart from being the owners and operators of the Riverside Hotel, they also lease over 50 locations of appealing retail space on Las Olas Boulevard and a variety of office spaces.
