Marcus Jordan, son of basketball icon Michael Jordan, was arrested early Tuesday morning in Maitland, Florida. The 34-year-old was found behind the wheel of his Lamborghini SUV, stuck on a set of railroad tracks. The luxury car’s headlights were on, and visible tire marks showed signs of failed attempts to drive off the tracks. Officers were concerned as a train was expected to pass within minutes.
Signs of Trouble
When officers approached Jordan, it quickly became clear something was off. His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his speech was slurred, and he seemed confused. Jordan admitted he had been drinking earlier at local clubs but insisted he was fine to drive. However, when asked to complete field sobriety tests, he struggled and failed three of them.
The situation worsened when officers searched Jordan’s pockets and found a small bag containing a white powdery substance. A quick field test confirmed it was cocaine.
Arrest and Charges
Jordan was arrested on charges of driving under the influence (DUI), cocaine possession, and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Orange County Jail, where his bond was set at $4,000. Upon his release, Jordan did not speak to the media.
Not His First Run-In
This isn’t the first time Marcus Jordan has made headlines for the wrong reasons. Back in 2012, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a heated argument outside a hotel. More recently, his personal life made waves when he began dating Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen, who was Michael Jordan’s longtime teammate.
