Shocking Weather Alert: Life-Threatening Cold Set to Grip Baltimore & Minnesota!

If you thought winter was done messing with us, think again! The snow may be moving out, but an icy blast is about to take over Baltimore and Minnesota. The next few days will bring freezing temperatures, slippery roads, and downright brutal wind chills. Here’s what’s coming and how you can stay safe.

Baltimore: From Chilly to Freezing – Fast!

Baltimore had it easy over the weekend with temps reaching 47°F and some sunshine, but that’s about to change. Monday will be cloudy with a high of 44°F, but by nightfall, temperatures will dip to 28°F.

The real trouble starts Tuesday. Snow is expected to roll in by late morning, bringing 2 to 4 inches. That means slick roads, slow commutes, and a messy afternoon. On top of that, temps will drop to 30°F overnight, making for a slushy, icy mess.

Wednesday morning could bring a little more snow before the skies turn cloudy. Roads may still be dangerous, so be extra careful if you’re heading out. By Thursday, the rain will clear, and we’ll see a slight warm-up to 53°F—but don’t get too comfortable. Overnight temps will sink to 26°F, and Friday will be cooler again, hovering around 40°F.

If you’ve got weekend plans, expect a mix of snow and rain, with highs in the low 40s and lows around freezing. In other words, classic unpredictable winter weather!

Minnesota: The Deep Freeze Is Here

Minnesota, brace yourselves—this week is going to be rough. After Sunday’s 19°F high, things are about to get dangerously cold.

Monday will be freezing with a high of just 13°F, but the real shocker is the overnight low: -18°F. And it gets even worse. By Tuesday, we’ll barely hit 4°F during the day, and overnight temps will plunge to a bone-chilling -20°F.

Wednesday through Friday won’t bring much relief. Highs will stay between 7°F and 12°F, with nighttime temps well below zero. Some light snow is possible Friday and Saturday, but the real concern is the extreme cold. Wind chills will make it feel even worse, so bundle up if you have to go outside.

How to Stay Warm & Safe

  • Layer up! Cover all exposed skin—frostbite can happen fast.
  • Drive carefully. Roads will be icy, so take it slow.
  • Winter-proof your car. Keep blankets, snacks, and an emergency kit on hand.
  • Stay indoors when you can. The wind chills will be brutal, so don’t risk it if you don’t have to.

Winter’s not done with us yet, but with a little prep, we can power through. Stay warm and stay safe!
