Linda Gifford began her career in education in Fall River and quickly gained a reputation for being a thoughtful leader and passionate teacher. Over the years, she moved into leadership roles and eventually became Superintendent of Westport Community Schools.

During her time as superintendent, Gifford led several important changes — from upgrading school facilities to launching student support programs and improving test scores across the district.
