When will Supplemental Security Income funds arrive?

The approximately 163,000 New Jersey citizens who receive Supplemental Security Income will get their benefits one day earlier than usual, on January 31. Because February 1 comes on a weekend, benefits are always given out ahead of schedule. It will vary depending on your income, the type of impairment, and the number of individuals in your family.

Mary Johnson, an independent evaluator of the nation’s Social Security and Medicare systems, estimates that a person receiving $1,920 monthly benefits this year will see a $48 boost. The maximum monthly SSI payout is now $967 for an individual and $1,450 for a couple, up from $943 and $1,415 in 2024.
