WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — Drivers heading through Walton County should plan for delays after a semi-truck caught fire on Hwy 331 South.
The northbound lanes near the intersection with Business 331 in Freeport have been shut down while crews work to clear the scene.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, no injuries have been reported so far.
Fire crews are currently on site working to put out the flames and clear the road. Authorities are asking anyone traveling through the area to slow down, stay alert, and expect possible delays until the lanes reopen.
There is no word yet on how long the closure will last. Drivers are encouraged to look for alternate routes if possible until the road is cleared.
