Two People Hospitalized After Domestic Violence Incident in Holly Hill

HOLLY HILL, Fla. — Police in Holly Hill are investigating a domestic violence incident that left a man and a woman hospitalized on Monday.

According to the Holly Hill Police Department, officers were called to the Cedar Point apartment complex just before 1 p.m. When they got there, they found a woman covered in blood and in visible distress. Officers stayed with her and provided first aid until paramedics showed up.

The woman was taken to the hospital and is currently listed in fair condition, police said.

The man involved wasn’t at the scene when officers first arrived. Investigators later learned that someone had driven him to the hospital in a private vehicle before police got there. He arrived at the hospital as a trauma alert and is listed in critical condition.

Police say detectives are working the case alongside the Daytona Beach Police Department and the Volusia County Crime Scene Investigations Unit, since evidence needs to be processed at more than one location in both Holly Hill and Daytona Beach.

Investigators believe the incident may have started as an argument related to infidelity, though the department has not released further details.

Police have not shared any additional updates so far. This is a developing story, and Delray Beach Times will update this article as more information becomes available from law enforcement.
