Casii Stephan just completed a successful tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, where she performed in many places while developing her network and getting inspiration from Tulsa’s music culture.
Four Performances in Three Cities:
Casii Stephan, a local artist, recently finished a tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, performing four times in three locations. Her debut presentation was in Derry, Northern Ireland, followed by a performance at the “Your Roots Are Showing” conference in Killarney, Ireland. She then proceeded to London, where she appeared on “London Unplugged” and opened for Australian musician Seren Spain at Malt live music pub.
Engagement and Opportunity Abroad:
Stephan’s tour provided opportunities beyond her performances. As an official showcase artist at the “Your Roots Are Showing” music conference, she met with festival and venue bookers from around Europe. She also visited the UK Americana fest in London, which helped her network in the international music industry.
Tulsa’s Impact on Her Music:
Stephan cites Tulsa as influencing her songwriting approach, notably the free and quick chord progressions associated with the Tulsa sound. The city’s encouraging artistic climate has allowed her to experiment artistically. Financial aid from Tulsa groups, notably FMAC’s new “Tulsa on Tour” initiative, helped pay for her trip.
Plans for 2025:
Stephan returned to Tulsa at the end of January following her overseas tour. Before leaving, she gave a farewell gig at The Colony. Looking ahead, she intends to return to the studio to create new music and book upcoming appearances.
