A man was severely injured in an Oakland Park shooting; the perpetrator has been captured

Broward County Regional Communications got a report about the gunshot soon after 1:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Northeast 35th Street, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

BSO deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue arrived, discovering a male with gunshot wounds. According to BSO, paramedics took him to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. A suspect was captured nearby, and detectives believe the incident was “domestic in nature.” Sky 10 hovered above the scene, where a woman with a bandage on her leg was speaking with a deputy. No other information regarding the event was immediately given.
