California Man Celebrates 100th Birthday with 200 Pups

In a heartwarming display of neighborhood support, more than 200 canines attended a tail-wagging neighborhood gathering to wish a San Jose man a happy 100th birthday.

Alison Moore, 60, of San Jose, California, prepared a birthday celebration for her father, Robert Moore, on June 17. Just thinking about it gives me chills.

It’s absolutely crazy to me to think that there were 160 dogs there that I had never met before, along with their owners, who were occasionally a couple or a family of five.

It was incredibly touching that these total strangers would take time out of their day to stop by my house and meet my dad with their dog.

Dogs of all ages, sizes, and forms and breeds arrived in style  decked out in costumes, wearing sunglasses and party hats.

Other breeds arrived in style dressed in costumes, donning party hats, sunglasses, and other accessories.

Dogs Bring Joy To Centenarian’s Life

Some canines arrived rolled up in pickup trucks, vintage vehicles, or wagons. Others brought treats to share with people and dogs.

Dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and breeds made a stylish entrance, decked up in costumes, party hats, and sunglasses.

When Alison Moore’s father, a retired dean of Science and Applied Arts at San Jose State University, turned 100 years old last year, she was considering planning a significant event.

He resides at an assisted living facility close to Palo. Both my mother and the majority of his pals have left.

Since he’s been in assisted living for a while, a huge party didn’t make sense, and our visits with our dog have always been the highlight.

Additionally, I would borrow my friends’ dogs in 2020 when we lose our dog. He simply loves dogs.
