Stephen Munoz Espinoza, a 43-year-old man from Delray Beach, has won a million dollars in the Florida Lottery’s 500X THE CASH scratch-off game. The announcement was made by the lottery officials on Wednesday. Munoz Espinoza has chosen to receive the winnings as a lump-sum payment of $820,000.
Hard to Believe
Munoz Espinoza was still in disbelief about his big win when he shared the news with the lottery officials. He and his wife plan to buy a house for their family.
“It was the end of a long day, and I was tired,” Munoz Espinoza said. “I stopped at Publix and was about to buy a ticket at the machine when a man cut right in front of me. Instead of saying something, I decided I’d just buy a ticket at the counter instead. I can’t believe I won a million dollars!”
