Authorities are currently searching for a man who fired multiple rounds at close proximity to another man in Pompano Beach, nearly killing him. The incident was captured on camera and the suspect is still at large.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) reported that on December 13, at approximately 6:33 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting on SW 30th Ave, between W McNab Road and Gateway Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue quickly transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The Violent Crimes Unit was called to the scene to begin the investigation.
Surveillance Video Captures the Crime
Authorities reported that a surveillance video captured the crime. The video footage shows a man wearing light-colored clothing and a white face mask walking in a parking lot. He initially walks past the victim and another man but returns and begins to open fire. The victim was shot multiple times at close proximity, including when he was down on the ground. The suspect then fled the scene.
