Donald Trump Earns $5.75M from Photo Book with Public Domain Images

Donald Trump has earned $5.75 million in royalties over the past 18 months from the sale of ‘Our Journey Together,’ a coffee-table book containing images from his presidency.

Using a private family corporation, the former president published a book with substantial taxpayer-funded content, and then used donor funds to increase sales.

Trump stated in his financial statement last week that he had received $5.75 million in royalties from ‘A MAGA Journey’ publishing agreement.

The album ‘Our Journey Together’, which contains photographs taken by Trump’s official White House photographer and is freely accessible, was formerly known by this title.

The previous leader also furnished his own captions. According to a representative for his publisher, ‘Our Journey Together’ sold more than 500,000 copies.

Sergio Gor, a former campaign worker, and Donald Trump Jr. co-founded the publishing company. Forbes was unable to corroborate this figure independently because the individual refused to provide supporting documentation.

Donald Trump has earned $5.75 million in royalties over the past 18 months from the sale of ‘Our Journey Together,’ a coffee-table book containing images from his presidency.

Through January 2023, NPD BookScan, an industry data provider, monitored 10,200 retail sales. However, purchases made directly from a book’s website, which NPD BookScan does not monitor, appear to have been a significant source of sales for ‘Our Journey Together’.

The initial price of the book was $75, and signed copies can be purchased for $230. Trump’s political operation aided in the sales increase.

In 2022, the political action committee and joint fundraising committee of the former president contributed $231,000 to Winning Team Publishing, the publisher of the book.

The committees’ spokespersons have not responded to recent inquiries. In December 2022, however, a representative stated that ‘Our Journey Together’ had received at least $48,000 from the funds distributed by the joint fundraising committee.

For donations of $75 or more, the committee continues to distribute copies.According to the spokesperson, the funds were allocated for the promotion of “Our Journey Together.”
