Albany, Georgia authorities are investigating after an unidentified man was found dead behind a local car wash earlier this week. The Albany Police Department responded to the scene Tuesday afternoon, where the man was found naked, lying on his back on the ground.
What Made the Scene Unusual
What made the discovery particularly disturbing was what was found on the body. The man had objects wrapped around his neck, arm, and genitals. The object around his neck was described as black and fur-like, while the one around his arm was yellow in color.
No Signs of Foul Play — So Far
Despite the unusual circumstances, police said there were no visible injuries or obvious signs of trauma on the body. Investigators found no signs of foul play during their initial examination at the scene.
What May Have Caused the Death
The Dougherty County coroner said the death was possibly heat-related, given where the body was discovered, or potentially drug-related. The man’s time of death was recorded at approximately 12:55 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigation Ongoing
The body was transported for further examination. As of now, the man has not been identified. Albany police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
