A woman is dead after she was shot in the face late Sunday night in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, authorities say.
Officers from Zone 2 were called to the area of 27th Street and Liberty Avenue just before 11 p.m. following reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the woman unresponsive on the sidewalk.
Officers Performed CPR at the Scene
Police performed CPR on the woman until medics arrived. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later died from her injuries. Her identity has not been released.
Three People Detained
Three individuals were detained at the scene and taken to police headquarters for questioning. It remains unclear whether any of them will face charges in connection with the shooting.

Pittsburgh Public Safety confirmed the investigation is ongoing. No further details about a suspect or motive have been released at this time.
